June 2026 Newsletter
Hello, friends, family, clients, and maybe even future neighbors!
If you've received my newsletters before, you know they're usually filled with real estate updates, market trends, and housing statistics. Don't worry—I still love all of that! But this month, I thought I'd switch things up and share something a little more personal that's been bringing me a lot of joy lately.
I'm so excited because this is my first summer with a yard of my own (out of the city), and my garden is officially underway!
This year I'm growing four different kinds of squash: butternut, buttercup, spaghetti squash, and a new one I've never grown before—the Sunburst (scalloped) squash. Squash is by far my favorite vegetable, they are so versatile! Apparently it's best harvested when it's only about 2–3 inches across, which means I should be able to harvest it pretty frequently throughout the summer. If all goes according to plan, consider this your warning: you may be leaving our next get-together with a bag of vegetables.
I couldn't completely skip the real estate talk, so here's one interesting market fact:
- home values in Waukesha County have continued to rise this year, with the average home value up about 5.6% over the past year and homes still going under contract quickly. Even with more inventory hitting the market this spring, we're continuing to see strong demand across much of the county.
Gardening has reminded me that the best things often take time. You plant a seed, care for it, trust the process, and eventually get to enjoy the results. In many ways, I think that's true of homeownership too. Whether it's a backyard garden, a patio filled with flowers, or simply a place where you can relax after a long day, having a space that feels like your own is good for the mind, body, and spirit.
I'd love to hear what you're growing this year! Vegetables, flowers, herbs, pumpkins, tomatoes—or maybe you're trying something new too. Hit reply and tell me what's growing at your house.
And of course, if you're dreaming about a little more space, a bigger yard, room for a garden, or simply a place that feels more like home, reach out to me anytime. Whether you're buying, selling, or just curious about what's possible, I'd love to help you find your place.
I offer market analyses, no obligation home valuations, and strategy sessions to refine your goals. I can also connect you with trusted lenders, contractors, stagers, and inspectors.
If you'd like a no pressure conversation about current values or to talk through ideas, call/text me, my contact info is linked in the side bar. I'm always happy to help refine your vision and create a practical plan.
Happy gardening, happy harvesting, and happy vegetable eating!
